Cleaning Instructions

Every week staff should clean the Sorter Track and Library Mate: 

Disposable gloves (non-latex) and reusable cloths are provided for employees to use while cleaning the Lyngsoe sorter with denatured alcohol.  Please order and replenish gloves as needed.  Discard gloves after cleaning and air dry cloths away from employees before storing. 

Make sure the Machine is taken off line by hitting the Emergency Stop Button before cleaning.

Please pay special attention opening/closing not to warp the racks.  Open from the middle applying equal force to both sides.  Close in similar fashion without slamming.
 

Vacuum the inside of the machine (Be sensitive to all electrical equipment inside the machine.  Try not to bump or hit the Relays it could cause the machine to not come back on-line. Use Denatured Alcohol and white rags to clean all the belts.  This includes the Green and Black Belts.

Use a DRY Yellow Microfiber Rag to clean all Photo Eyes (PEC’s)

Also make sure all belts and PEC’s on the Library mates are cleaned.

 

This is to be done by branch staff to maintain optimal operation of the machine.   Proper cleaning will also help with the long term operation of the machines.
